Thermoresistances

The temperature is one more important variable in process. For the temperature measurements in the industrial applications and in search laboratory, simple and very strong elements are required. The sensible element is composed from a metal wire, commonly Platinum, opportunely wrapped on a hard glass or ceramics support that assures the protection and the electric isolation.

Operating

The electric resistance of the wire changes in function of the temperature. That allow, in according to a good defi nite relation between resistance and temperature, accurate and repetitive temperature measurement. The resistances are select with bigcare in according to the normative DIN-43760 and IEC 751.

Product characteristics

• Nominal standard value: 100 Ohm to O°C. On request, available other values of reference.
• Sensible Element in Platinum suitable for temperatures from - 250°C to 850°C
• Hard glass or ceramics coating
• Available in simple or double element
• External sheath of protection in stainless steel with oxide of magnesium isolation, resistant to the vibrations and to the moisture with Copper-Nickel or Nickel extension wires

Dimensions

• 6 mm as standard external diameter
• On request available diameter: 3 mm - 4.5 mm - 8 mm

Thermocouples

The thermocouples represent ideal response to best part of temperature measurement problems thanks to the extreme simplicity, to the good precision and to their reliability. he thermocouples are accurately selected and build in accordino to the normative: ANSI C96.1, DIN 43710, IEC 584.

Operation

In a circuit format from the joint of two different metallic conductors, when the joints are to different temperatures, circulate a current produced from a thermoelectric voltage directly proportional to the differente of temperature between two joints. (Hot Junction and Cold Junction). This allows us accurate and repetitive temperature measurements.

Thermocouples with ceramic isolation:

They are economie and consist of two wires assembled with ceramic insulators. Available single or double element.

Thermocouples with minerai isolation:

Magnesium Oxide insulated wire with metallic sheath. Very compact, resistant to the moisture, to the pressure, to the usury. Available single or double element.

Assembled thermoresistances and thermocouples

Our production includes elements sensible suitable assembled to satisfy practically all the requirements. The complete elements are composed from:

• Sensible element thermocouple or thermoresistance
• Spring load insert with insulating ceramics block and terminal blocks
• Connection head
• Junction nipple (union on request)
• Thermowell
• Process Connection

Sensible element:

• Thermoresistance Pt 100 Ohm O°C
• Thermocouple type T, J, E, K, R, S.

Spring load insert

Magnesium oxide (MgO) insert with metallic coating, complete of metallic support disc with ceramics terminal block and sprlng load.

Connection head:

• Low alloy or cast iron connection head with protection IP65
• Low alloy or cast iron connection head EExd IIB/C CI.T5-6
• Low alloy connection head for special application
• For special application, available metallic or plastics male or fe male connector.

Junction nipple

• Junction nipples (as per client requirements)
• Union (if request)

Thermowells

• Thermowells from bar with deep drilling, suitable for the general use and for the more critical and serious application. Generally constructed in AISI 316, on request we could be furnished in varied materials inclusive the special alloys
• Thermowells from seamless pipe for forming or with welded cap, suitable for light and medium heavy applications. They could be furnished in all the welding materials.
• Special thermowells: mat China-refractory, silicon carbide and alumina.
• Special thermowells with glass or plasticized coating or with anti-erosion hard material (Stellite).

Process connections:

• Conical or cylindrical thread
• Flanged connection in according client requirements.
• Available compression fi tting or special fitting process connections

Special thermocouple and thermoresistances

• Special thermocouples and thermoresistances fast response suitable for search laboratories, pilot plants, military applications, alimentary industries, pharmaceutical, etc.
• Thermocouples and special suitable thermoresistances for mounting on ball bearing, on endothermic motors, on whirlwind, on waste gas, for maritime applications, for fi ber or plastics extrusion, on die and on injection presses.
• Thermocouples and thermoresistances for superfi cial temperature measurements on tanks, boilers, furnaces etc. by plate or welding block or with fi xing wrapper.
• Thermocouples and multiple thermoresistances for temperature measurements in long reactors, tanks and towers. Available with individual protection well or with independent wells for each element.

MULTIPOINT THERMOCOUPLE ASSEMBLIES

Multipoint Thermocouple Assemblies consist thermocouples within a single protecting tube inserted in a process opening. They obtain fast temperature readings at different levels of
vessels, reactors, catalyst beds, furnaces and other individual applications.
